Kalyanjit Hatibaruah, Founder of Flugelsoft, a business solution provider talks on how the company striving for more IT involvement.

1.    Tell us about Flugelsoft.
Flugelsoft is a global services provider delivering technology-driven business solutions that meet the strategic objectives of our clients. We have a Development office in Assam and Marketing offices in London and Los Angeles. We primarily cater to clients in U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, and Australia.
Our core services comprise of expertise in Custom web applications, Ecommerce sites, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Solutions, Database Migration, Iphone/Ipad/Android application development, Internet Marketing and Opensource application development.
2.     What kind of IT requirement do you have on an annual basis? Please
          share the size of your annual IT budget?
We are a Software development services company and IT is everything to us. We have development platforms in windows/linux/mac/Android. Based on clients’ requirements we have to upgrade our development environments. We do not maintain a fixed IT budget.
3.     What kind of IT applications do you need for running your
         operations smoothly?
At Flugelsoft, we are quite cautious of the technology spend we do. Hence, the usage is for now limited to open source applications like openoffice, linux and other applications. It’s easier to manage and the cost involved for the same is minimal.
4.    How many people do you have working at your IT department?
We have a total strength of 20-25 people and 80 percent of them are in software development and designing.
5.     Moving forward, how do you look at the IT sphere within your organization?

IT investment is required to reduce cost and put in efficiency in the operation of any business organization. The sooner it is implemented the better it is.
