GIGABYTE Technology (India) Ltd. intends to expand its retail network in the country for laptops and other computer peripherals products. With IT retail taking off in India, it plans to strengthen its retail presence. Executive Vice President, GIGABYTE Technology Co., Richard Ma, inaugurated its retail point in Mumbai and Bangalore.
Managing Director, GIGABYTE Technology India Ltd. Mr. Prabodh Vyas said, "Retailing is now emerging as a new sales & marketing avenue in the IT industry. The retail outlets give you a good branding opportunity and also increase presence in direct customer locations. The opening of the retail outlet in Mumbai is a step towards increasing our retail presence. We plan to open more retail outlets across the country."
The retail point will showcase digital lifestyle products like laptops, smart phones, pen drives, DVD writers, LCD monitors, E-PC etc. Already over 50 retail outlets have tied up with GIGABYTE within a short span of 6 months and this
number should go up to 100 in the next half year.
The company also launched two new models of laptops based on the latest Intel mobile platform. With the GIGABYTE brand gaining rapid acceptance in the Indian market for its quality, value and performance, it has now launched its entire range of products in India.
