Gigabyte opens retail outlets in Mumbai and Bangalore

Gigabyte has opened one retail outlet in Mumbai and two outlets in Bangalore. The company is looking to add more retail outlets in near future.

Gigabyte Technology (India) Ltd., the PC hardware and peripheral player has opened retail outlets in Mumbai and Bangalore. With IT retail taking off in India, Gigabyte plans to strengthen its retail presence.

Executive Vice President, Gigabyte Technology Co., Richard Ma inaugurated Gigabyte retail point at CyberCiti, one of the most popular IT retail outlets in Mumbai. Gigabyte retail point will showcase digital lifestyle products like laptops, smart phones, pen drives, DVD writers, LCD monitors, E-PC etc. Already over 50 retail outlets have tied up with Gigabyte within a short span of 6 months and this number should go up to 100 in the next half year.

Speaking on this development Ma said, “Since the market today is for laptops and digital lifestyle products, we want to focus more on these products.”

Expressing his views on retail market, Managing Director, Gigabyte Technology India Ltd, Prabodh Vyas said, “Retailing is now emerging as a new sales and marketing a

venue in the IT industry. The retails outlets give you a good branding opportunity and also increase presence in direct customer locations. The opening of the retail outlet in Mumbai is a step towards increasing our retail presence. We plan to open Gigabyte retail outlets across the country.”

Ma also inaugurated two more outlets in Bangalore; Sultania Computers and Digitek Systems. On the occasion, Gigabyte also launched two new models of laptops based on the latest Intel mobile platform.
