ASUS and NVIDIA jointly held channel seminars between 16th May 2011 to 24th May 2011 for their partners across six cities.
The cities comprised of Delhi, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. The training program was organized in order to educate and inform channel partners about their upcoming products and technologies.
NVIDIA educated the partners on the technologies incorporated in their latest GPUs featured in ASUS graphics cards. Some of the latest ASUS graphics card models available with NVIDIA GPUs are ENGTX590/3DIS/3GD5, ENGTX560 Ti DCII/2DI/1GD5 and ENGTX550 Ti DC/DIS/1GD5 - which also recently got an award by a leading IT magazine. They also explained various techniques to optimize PC performance with their GPUs.
Partners were given details on latest ASUS’ innovations incorporated into their graphics cards like Voltage Tweak, Super Alloy Power, DirectCU and DirectCU II. ASUS Voltage Tweak gives users a quick and accessible way to overvolt the graphics card to its limit for up to 50% faster performance compared to reference design.
Vinay Shetty – Country Head, Component Business, ASUS (India) said, “It was a great experience to conduct this training session together with NVIDIA. This initiative guided our partners about our recent launches and product technologies in the graphics cards segment. We expect to hold such programs from time to time to keep the channel abreast with the latest updates in this segment.”
Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, Asia - South, NVIDIA, said, “The technology landscape in India has undergone a transformation in recent years, with a rapid increase in the demand for powerful visual computing, both for business & entertainment. We want our consumers to enjoy their visual experience – from gaming to multimedia, digital photography to video editing. This necessitates educating our partners and resellers to enable them to better serve the needs of today’s consumers. To achieve this end, we are happy to collaborate with our partners such as ASUS, who have taken the initiative to educate the channel partners on the benefits of co-processing, i.e. powering a PC with a GPU in addition to a CPU.”
Around 450 partners attended this training program across six cities and appreciated this initiative by the two vendors. They were also pleased with the market response to the GTX560 Ti CU II graphics cards among the recently launched ASUS graphics cards.
