Touch Computer is high on retail growth

Posted on February, Saturday 04, 2006 By Rohit Kaul

Retailing has been finding its roots in the entire
country. The concept of branding has engulfed the
entire nation. The retail market in Madhya Pradesh
(M.P) too is in an upbeat mood. Indore based Touch
Computers has been experiencing good growth for the
retail business. Although, it has been operating
through channel partners too but its prime focus is
retailing, where it views good growth opportunity.

Speaking to itVARnews, Partner, Touch Computers,
Anshul Jain commented, “Indore market has been
instrumental in fueling retail business in the M.P
state. Brands like LG and Compaq are in good demand.
Since the last year our sales have doubled which is a
clear indication that retailing has a good future in
the state. ”

Currently, it is focusing on LG PC’s among its brand
line. It is targeting home segment for its brand
range. Jain feels that overall M.P market is growing
strongly and end users are playing a pivotal role in

fueling demand for IT products.

On the question of retail market in the upcountry
regions of the state, Jain opined, “The concept of
retailing is still not popular in upcountry markets.
This concept has found its place in cities like
Indore.”
