Cheering up the IT traders, Department of Trade and Taxes has announced ‘Good Dealers Scheme 2010’.

Cheering up the IT traders, Department of Trade and Taxes has announced Good Dealers Scheme 2010. The initiative is taken by the department to acknowledge the contribution of traders and Nehru Place Market Association in realizing the goal of an efficient tax administration, in order to promote and improve a business friendly tax regime.

Under this scheme, the department has called Mahinder Agarwal, President, All Delhi Computer Traders Association (ADCTA) to register dealers who desire to give feedback on market conditions, revenue leakage and suggestion to improvement rules, regulations and procedures.

According to the circular sent by the department, eligible dealers should generally not have been a habitual defaulter in the last three years and should not have indulged in any kind of Tax-evasion activities and thus faced action like raid, search, sealing etc. by the enforcement branch of the department.

The selected dealers passing the above criteri

a will be honoured with certificate and memento by Delhi Chief Minister /Finance minister under Good Dealers scheme at a function organized by the Department of Trade and Taxes.

In addition dealers will get benefits like there would be no increase in their security deposit for at least one year of issuance of statutory forms and there will be no inspection or adverse inquiry on such dealers unless specifically ordered by the commissioner.

The department has asked the association to send names of at least 50 dealers registered with it by August 20, 2010 who full fill the eligibility criteria.
