Trend Micro has provided solution to Steel Conglomerate, Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) to tackle real time security threats. Jindal has opted for Trend Micros Office Scan Client-Server Suite to lower risks, resources and costs. The implementation also upgrades Jindals Endpoints for cloud protection.

JSL has implemented the latest version of Trend Micro OfficeScan 10. The new version leverages Trend Micro Smart Protection Network to take advantage of in-the-cloud threat intelligence to mitigate real time threats. Instead of the traditional way of relying on local pattern-based protection for end-points, the cloud based solution checks a file and matches it for pattern recognition in the cloud.

We see Trend Micros OfficeScan 10 version as an opportunity to effectively address the huge challenges faced by traditional end point solutions. Today endpoints face over 800 new and unique malware attacks per hour. Even more frequent pattern file updates cannot k

Addressing the increasing volume of threats affecting web and online users consumes a growing number of endpoint resources, resulting in end users becoming increasingly frustrated with slow machines. By opting for OfficeScan 10, now we can have real-time scanning, filtering and blocking of malicious code, malware or viruses, commented Ajay Dhir, Group CIO, JSL.

We are happy to see the benefits that JSL is already seeing. The combination of cloud technology and a lighter-weight has helped JSL in reducing reliance on conventional pattern downloads and in eliminating the delays commonly associated with desktop updates. As a result there is less resource consumption and 85-90 percent reduction in time spent in monitoring and managing the security, informed Amit Nath, Country Manager, India and SAARC, Trend Micro.

Further, as the malware scanning and detection is done from the cloud, JSL has been able to remove a bulk of th
