HP and Fortinet have formed a partnership to offer a stronger and comprehensive security infrastructure with network security beyond UTM.
HP and Fortinet have formed a partnership to offer a stronger and comprehensive security infrastructure with network security beyond UTM. With this collaboration, a specific range of HP Switches will be available with integrated Fortinet UTM solutions.
Fortinet will supply Forti Os and Fortigate One Software solution to built solution for HP Procurve networking environment. The UTM in a Switch will be available in HP procurve 5400zl and 8200zl Series of Switches.
Sharing details on the benefits, Jitendra Ghughal, Country Channel Manager, Fortinet said, Now customers will have an integrated platform. They dont need to look for UTM solutions separately. Just buying a Switch will make them secure. With the new solution offerings they can save rack space and also leverage on complete manageability, scalability and security.
The new solution will offers all the features of Fortigate solutions such as antivirus, anti spy ware, SSL VPN, web filtering, app
lication control, firewall, DLP, accept WAN optimization.
Fortinet has also increased its channel reach with the new tie-up with HP. Earlier the vendor had a distribution tie-up with Ingram Micro.
The bundling will give good opportunity to the channel partners. They can target wider market and customers. The solution will be offered through HPs channel partners mainly. Now channel partners have a better solution to sell. They can offer a new value proposition to their customers with multiple benefits, concludes Ghughal.
