MPTCTA Plans to Ensure Partners Profitability

Posted on June, Wednesday 09, 2010 By Jalaj Roy Choudhury

M.P. Telecom & Computer Traders Association (MPTCTA) is planning to implement certain measures to help channel partners face the intense competition in the market.

Post M.P. Telecom & Computer Traders Association (MPTCTA) elections, we at ITPV spoke to Manish Goyal who has been recently elected, fourth time in a row as the President of MPTCTA about the issues he plans to focus on and the roadmap for the association.

Informing ITPV about the issue he will be taking care of as the President of MPTCTA, Goyal said, I will take issues of LFRs V/s retailers in Laptops as small time retailers are facing stiff competition from LFRs as far as prices are concerned. I will initiate discussions with vendors to pursue them to offer some different models to LFRs, so that it wont affect the local market pricing.

Moving further and informing about the measures that the association plans to take to look into declining margins, he informed, We will try to freeze the pricing of all low cost fast moving products in channel so that there is no price competition particularly for those range of products. Moreover, we will release a new

service policy where separate service charges will be taken from customers on all computer related services. This will provide some extra margin to dealers. We will also shortlist the dealers who are non members and are undercutting the material at low prices and will take measures to restrict credit to them from channel partners.

Finally mentioning about the new plans and roadmap for the association, Goyal said that the association will continue with the annual events of MPTCTA like FONOCOM & Manthan. The association plans to organize FONOCOM in the upcountry regions of the state.
