Extreme Networks Fixed 10 GbE Solutions Demonstrate Explosive Market Growth

Extreme Networks 10 Gigabit solutions offer high density, line-rate performance with the Summit X450, Summit X480, and Summit X650 switches.

According to the Dell Oro Groups Q1 Layer2/3 Market Report, Extreme Networks has achieved 94 per cent growth fixed 10 Gigabit Ethernet Ports. 10 Gigabit Ethernet is becoming the connection of choice beyond the network core, at the edge and for aggregation, as it provides an answer to surging deployment of very high performance servers and bandwidth demanding applications.

As bandwidth demanding applications are driving server connectivity from 1GbE to 10GbE performance, new and existing customers are turning to us looking for high performance network solutions, said Jitendra Gupta, Country Manager, Extreme Networks.

The DellOro numbers confirm that we experienced 94% quarter-over-quarter port growth as our Summit X650 and Summit X480 fixed switches are being deployed to address needs around the globe. rowth in the adoption of Extreme Networks solutions, Gupta added.

According to a press release, Extreme Networks 10 Gigabit solutions offer high density, line-rate performance with the Summit X450, Summit X480, and Summit X650 switches in addition to the key benefits of the ExtremeXOS modular operating system, the only solution that offers cross-platform management stacking of fixed switches.
