IT VAR News: What kind of security solutions Appin is offering for cloud?

Rajat Khare: We offer a host of managed security services for the cloud which involves intrusion prevention, privileges management, SOC, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and security analytics etc.

ITVN: Kindly shed some light on your customers and verticals yo

u are targeting?

RK: We are working with customers in IT/ITES, Financial Services, Aviation, Telecom/ISP, Media, Government, Infrastructure and Manufacturing and targeting verticals like Telecom/ISP, SaaS providers, IT companies, Datacenter and hosting companies, large enterprises and government verticals.

ITVN: What is the best security solution for cloud?

RK: Different consumers have different need and there are different solutions that would fit different environments. Some of the security solutions for virtual space could be IPS, UTM, Anti spam, Antivirus etc.

ITVN: How many R& D labs do you have?

RK: Appin security has two niche R&D facilities in India. We have one R&D center in IIT Delhi.

ITVN: What all tie-ups you have for offering security to your customers?

RK: We have tie-ups with major security product providers like IBM, Astaro, Symantec, CA, Cisco, Watchguar
