With more and more consumers preferring LCD monitors, the Indias northern state of Uttar Pradesh is witnessing an overwhelming demand for this product.

Over the years, the demand for heavy, box typed and space consuming monitors has drastically gone down. Sleek, compact and lightweight LCD monitors have fast replaced the CRT ones. According to the channel partners, higher resolutions, enhanced picture quality, full HD screens are some of the features driving the sales of the LCD monitors. Seeing the tremendous marketing opportunity in this domain, vendors are adopting aggressive strategies to tap the maximum share of the pie. Some of these strategies include incorporating latest and innovative features, technologies and offering innovative schemes to the consumers.

We at ITVN surveyed the Uttar Pradesh market to get an insight of the LCD monitor market in this part of the country.

Ravindra Kumar Gupta, Branch Manager, Zebronics, Luc

know commented, According to me Samsung & LG LCD monitors is the best when it comes to quality and performance. Moreover these brands have a very good presence in the market. However there are other semi-branded companies also engaged in the manufacturing of LCD monitors, which are doing good business.

Speaking on the demand of the CRT monitors, Gupta informed that the demand for the CRT monitors has gone down immensely and the only demand that is left is basically from PC up-gradation market and that too is diminishing at an alarming rate.

On being questioned about the segments generating demand, he said, The demand is uniform from all the segments including from Corporates, SMBs and end consumers. The future of LCD monitor market seems very bright with extensive growth and a huge market opportunity as the technology is constantly and continuously progressing.
