As far as long power cuts and frequent power disconnections are prevailing in the market, demand for UPS shows upward trend. And it will be thus for ever, because power shortage in India is an ever ending phenomenon.

Nowadays, the electrical supply may have sudden spikes or dips and this in turn can result in loss of precious and important data. But to deal with this problem enters a device called UPS, which in such cases of sudden power loss, will continue to power the computer system long enough for you to save your work. In this new technology of UPS system, the manufacturers offers a lot of features including the surge suppression built-in device, hot-swap power module and battery module replacements.

Additional backup time and run time calculation during power failure has great advantage for the end users to know the approximate time left for them to save their data before it completely shuts down.

Moreover a UPS will co

ndition your power going to a computer so that it is always the right voltage, thus making your parts last longer. It will also protect it from surges and power outages from anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour long.

Talking about the types of UPS, there are three basic types of UPS: offline standby, online and line interactive. An offline standby UPS is efficient and less costly, behaving much like a surge suppressor until main power is broken. Little or no line conditioning is provided. Additionally, battery backup is often initiated upon electricity fluctuation. Online UPS conditions the electricity flowing from the battery and unlike standby, there is no gap between power outage and UPS start-up. A line interactive UPS is middle ground between the previous choices.

emand is coming more, he said, The demand is very good and ever increasing and the demand is uniform from all the segments whether it is Corporate or SMBs or the end consumer. Since the demand will continue to grow, therefore the future of this market seems very bright and exceptional.

Talking further about the demand of the UPS in the region, he said, There is no doubt that the demand for UPS is growing extensively and in fact it is approximately Rs. 700 crore market in the Eastern region itself. While asking about the verticals from where the demand is coming more, he informed that the demand is coming uniformly from all the verticals and that too at a very good pace.
