Alok Tandon To Lead EMC Channel Business

EMC deepened its focus on channel business.

With enhanced focus company is strengthening its relationship with partners to equip them to address the opportunities in the market. Therefore they have appointed Alok Tandon to lead EMC\'s channel and strategic alliance. The new appointment is a part of EMC\'s investment, which was announced last year, to grow their overall business operations in India, and to complement its existing service efforts and drive deeper levels of engagement and support for its customers and partners.

Alok Tandon will be taking charge as Director, Channels and Strategic Alliances in EMC India and the SAARC region and report to Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC. Tandon will take the responsibility of channel development where he will be driving the distributions, integrator strategy and deepening partnerships and alliance across the markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Manoj Chugh, said, EMC\'s partner relationships have been extremely critical in ensuring our success in India. With our customers information infrastructure becoming increasingly complexity, as well as new growth opportunities in virtualization and cloud computing, it is ever important to invest in a strong leadership team to enable our partners to address these opportunities.

We are happy to have Alok to lead our channel strategy. His deep channel industry experience provides a strong complement to our executive leadership team, he added.

With the experience of 26 years, Alok has worked with companies like Oracle as Director- Education Buiness, Polaries Software, SSA Global, DCM Data System and Wipro Infotech.

Currently EMC is working with the channel base of 200 partners to offer its products, software and services across India.
