Gaurav Burman, Director, Transaction Business, APC India Pvt Ltd (Now which is under the guidance of Schneider Electric) shares how company is on growth track with incomparable guidance of Schneider Electric

ITVN: What are your solution offerings for SMBs? How do you cater to SMB Vertical (with partners and solutions?

GB: The power situation in the country is still grim and is unable to meet the growing demand across sectors (Peak power deficit is 17%). Even if one looks beyond the large data centers, just the SMB sector alone offers tremendous opportunities to us and our channel partners for new businesses.

With the increasing sophistication and dependence on IT for business continuity and growth, most SMBs today are looking at pay-as-you-grow scalable models, solutions with optimised TCO and sleeker, denser and rack mountable options that\'ll help reduce real estate costs. These will be our focus areas. We see a lot of opportunity in the SMB segment as the need for IT solutions in this category is growing.

We have the widest range of power, cooling, rack and management solutions which we can deliver as a complete NCPI package for network closets, server rooms, all the way up to large data centers.

ITVN: What would be your roadmap, focus and go-to-market strategy for coming fiscal 2010-11?

GB: We are moving from a product approach to an end to end solutions and consultancy approach for Data centers. Lot of effort is being driven to this turn key data center initiative. This is possible through the wider portfolio of offerings, due to acquisition by the 18.3 billion Schneider Group which is the recognized global leader in Electricity and Automation Management with operations in 100 countries.  The entire NCPI architecture that contributes to a significant portion of the data center can be designed, planned, built and managed byAPC.

ITVN: What changes do you see in companys operation after association with Schneider?

GB: Under the parental guidance of Schneider Electric, APC has shifted its emphasis from being a successful supplier of power management equipment to becoming part of an end to end energy management company.  At a product level APC is synonymous with power back up products and technologies, claims a lead in hot aisle/cold aisle containment and has a global footprint. Though an engineering company it is now shifting up a gear into taking a lead in the sphere of strategic energy management. In its own words: From power and control to energy management. New offerings under the Schneider portfolio also include BMS, Electrical distribution etc.
