Unistal gets in expansion mode

Unistal Systems Pvt. Ltd., provider of data care, data recovery, anti-virus and Internet security products and services is planning to get aggressive in the market by appointing more channel partners. The company currently has 70 offline data recovery centers and 200 channel partners all across the country.

As part of its channel strategy, it is in a pursuit of adding more than 300 national and international channel partners for its recently launched 'data recovery over Internet' services. The channel partners for this online service will help the customer recover data even in normally difficult situations.

Speaking to itVARnews, Director-Marketing, Unistal Systems, Alok Gupta said, “Data recovery is the biggest market now-a-days but there is not much competition as it is untracked and unorganized market. It has a good growth potential and in order to make maximum use of this, we will be expanding in terms of channel base and product portfolio,” added Gupta.

The solution provider is hiring partners for its recently launched 'data recovery over Internet' services - first of its kind in the entire country. These services are being extended to customers by the Unistal channel partners through its website www.idatacare.com. Unistal has, till date, performed more than 75,000 data recovery operations. It is leveraging on the expertise earned over the years to make this service business successful.

Unistal also plans to open more branches by next quarter. As Gupta informed, “We will be opening two more branches in Chennai and Hyderabad by next quarter. We currently operate from Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and direct representatives in Dubai and Canada.”

The company plans to focus on all the segments including end users, SOHO, SMB, Corporate and Educational Institutes. Unistal experienced growth of 180 percent last year and is eyeing 400 percent and 30 crore turn over this year. It will also be focusing on strengthening its channel and corporate & online sales.

As and when need arises, channel partners can conduct a live chat with experts at CRL and resolve all technical issues instantly. It circumvents the need to send the hard disk to Unistal's master labs. Customers can even track their data recovery process online.

Unistal's online recovery services are available for different types of media and operating systems. Unistal has an expertise to perform data recovery from all versions and types of Windows, Linux, Macintosh, Novell, UNIX, RAID servers, mail servers, database servers etc. Unistal also has the expertise to recover data from all types of storage media.

When asked how a channel partner can benefit from Unistal, Gupta replied, “We have the widest range of products in the data recovery segment. We organise various e-learning programmes for our channel partners, give them good margins and participate with them in various roadshows and events. Moreover, there is good profit in software selling rather than hardware selling, so definitely our channel partners can benefit from it.”
